(BLI) today announced the release of Field Test Reports on three products launched by Fuji Xerox Co., Ltd., to be published as part of BLI's new international Web site and expansion into Asia. The three Fuji Xerox multifunctional products (MFPs), the DocuCentre C5540 I, Document Centre C250 and Document Centre 286CP, were subjected to extensive field testing by BLI technicians at Fuji Xerox in Singapore. Notably, all three units earned BLI's highest Five Star rating.

The three MFPs also have a similar platform to Fuji Xerox's comparable U.S. models sold by partner Xerox Corporation under their brand. Those products earned BLI's "Outstanding Multifunctional Imaging Device User Interface, Spring 2004 Award," Beddiges added.
"The DocuCentre C5540 I, Document Centre C250 and Document Centre 286CP also offer a feature set that increases users' productivity," according to Ken Nardone, Technical Manager of BLI's Field Testing department. "The units offer extensive job reserves, as well as good overall ease of use when programming copy and print jobs and replenishing supplies," Nardone said. Also of note is each of the unit's bi-directional print drivers that enable users to check the status of the device from the Web utility before sending a print job, eliminating the need for an external utility, added Nardone.
The Field Test Reports are being published as part of BLI's new international product launch and the recent opening of offices in Asia. From the Hong Kong office BLI will be better able to service the document imaging community in the region. BLI intends to continue testing Fuji Xerox models as well as other models from the region.
